Ilha de Esme, Athenas, Grécia.

A nossa história começa quando uma bela dama de 22 anos chamada Renesmee remava um berquinho que saia da ilha de sua mãe, a famosa Ilha de Esme que cuja o nome era  em homenagem a uma  senhora que Isabella mãe de Renesmee cuidava quando Nessie era pequena. Enquanto Renesmee remava até Athenas, a mesma entoava uma canção que aprendera com sua mãe, Bella:

- I have a dream-cantava Nessie enquanto parava o barco no pier-A song to sing, to help me cope with anything.

- If you see the wonder of a fairy tale-ela continuava a entoar a canção só que agora andava até a caixa do correio- You can take the future...

De repente Renesmee se pôs a pensar enquanto encarva as três cartas que tinha em mãos, depois que envia-se-as não teria mais volta. Naquela noite Renesmee soube que vida de sua mãe e a sua nunca mais seriam as mesmas novamente.

- Even if you fail.-completou Nessie.

-Edward Cullen, Estados Unidos.-disse colocando a primeira carta.

-Emmett McCarty, Suécia.-disse colacando a segunda carta.

-Jasper Whitlock, Reino Unido.-disse colocando a terceira e última carta.

"Agora já está feito! I belive in Angels"-pensou Renesme.
